2. Summary: what this website does not do

This website is a purely editorial reference site. It does not use cookies. It does not use web analytics, tracking or profiling of any kind. It does not embed third-party content such as external fonts, maps, videos or social media plug-ins, and it contains no contact, registration or comment forms. Every resource is delivered from our own server. Consequently, no consent banner is required, and no personal data is passed to third parties for advertising or analysis purposes.

3. Server log files

When you access this website, your browser automatically transmits technical information which our hosting provider records in server log files. These are:

  • the IP address of the requesting device, shortened before storage (see below)
  • the date and time of the request
  • the name and path of the file requested
  • the website from which the request originated (referrer URL)
  • the browser type and version and the operating system used
  • the volume of data transferred, the protocol, the HTTP status code and the host name requested

Purpose and legal basis. This data is processed in order to establish the connection, to ensure the stability and security of the system, to enable technically error-free delivery of this website, and to detect and prevent misuse. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and reliable operation of this website. The data is not combined with other data sources and is not used to identify you personally.

Shortening of IP addresses and storage periods. Our hosting provider anonymises IP addresses before they are stored by removing the last one to three digits (for example, „127.0.0.1“ becomes „127.0.0.0“); IPv6 addresses are anonymised in the same way. The anonymised access log data is stored for 60 days and then deleted. Error logs, which record failed requests, are deleted after seven days.

Processor. This website is hosted by Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG, Königsberger Straße 4–6, 32339 Espelkamp, Germany, which processes the above data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Processing takes place on servers located in Germany.

4. Contacting us by email

If you contact us by email — for example regarding the acquisition of this domain — the data you provide (your email address, your name if given, and the content of your message) is processed solely in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns the conclusion or performance of a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries addressed to us. We delete this data once your enquiry has been dealt with conclusively, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.

Please note that unencrypted email cannot be regarded as a secure means of transmission. If you wish to send us confidential information, please agree a secure channel with us in advance.

5. Encryption

This website uses TLS encryption (HTTPS) for all connections in order to protect data in transit.

6. No automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
